Athletic background?  Baseball, skateboarding, Tae Kwon Do,Parkour, Recently taken up rock climbing.

How long obstacle course training?  I’ve been training Ninja Warrior obstacles for almost 3 years now.

Why obstacle training?    I train because I love to do obstacles and want to do well on American Ninja Warrior.

Why compete?  Motivation?   I started watching Sasuke when I was like 10 years old on G4 and fell in love with the idea of the show. So when it came to American when I was 16, I knew I would eventually train and compete. It helps that I’m very competitive!

Favorite obstacle?  Least favorite obstacle?     My favorite obstacle is a tie between the crazy cliffhanger and salmon ladder! My least favorites are the the log runner and the floating tiles, 2 of the obstacles I’ve fell on the show the past 2 years of competing on ANW.

Personal interests (movies, hobbies, music, books, charities, etc.)?   I love watching movies and I’m into a few competitive video games.

Motto or how you live your life?   I try to better myself everyday. I know my flaws and I work to fix them the best I can. Which is a good trait to have when you have a hard goal to achieve, such as completing all 4 stages on ANW.

Piece of advice for obstacle course training?   My best advice to a new comer that wants to do obstacles and may want to compete, You need to determine what you want to achieve first off. Once you know that, then you can set short and long term goals for yourself. If you just started, the best thing you can do is, take up rock climbing to build up your upper body and the ability to overcome very difficult challenges. Next you need to do a athletic activity such as gymnastics or parkour. This will give you incredible control over your body. And obviously you need to actually do obstacles. Get creative while doing obstacle training for you will never get bored and always doing something different each time. Eat healthy, listen to your body, have fun, and stay positive!
