Calle Alexander – Ninja Street Training Grounds, Miami Freerunning, Ninja Lounge, and ATP Obstacle Gym – Miami FL

Here we have competitor Calle, age 22, Miami, FL

Athletic background?  High School Tennis Player reached top 60 in the state of Florida then I started Parkour and ninja training about 3-4 years ago.

How long obstacle course training?  About 3-4 years.

Why obstacle training?   I used to watch Sasuke when I was younger.

Why compete?  Motivation?  I have always been very competitive and ninja training started out as something fun I could do as a workout and maybe be on the show one day but now its looking like it may become a real sport on ESPN one day haha.

Definitely my friends and family. I love the support that I get from all my family, they believe in me and I want them to be proud when they see me on the course. My friends and the ninja community is so awesome. Everyone is so nice and willing to help each other almost like family. I love being a part of this community.

Favorite obstacle?  Least favorite obstacle?    I have to say the salmon ladder is my all time favorite.  Any awkward balance obstacle haha.

Personal interests (movies, hobbies, music, books, charities, etc.)?  On my non-athletic side I love 2 things. I like cooking mostly because I’m vegan and I love watching and playing Dragonball Z!

Something interesting about you?  I have a symmetry based OCD. I was diagnosed when I was about 8 and before I was diagnosed my mom use to think I had Tourette’s because I would make weird noises and sometimes have facial twitches.

Motto or how you live your life?  “When you are good you tell people, when your great people tell you.”

Piece of advice for obstacle course training?   Train hard and always get back up!
