Here we have competitor Jordan, age 25, Fall River, Massachusetts.
Athletic background? Don’t really have one outside of a few years of baseball in a local league, a little MMA, and pickup flag football games. I did started training progressive calisthenics seriously about 2 years ago.
How long obstacle course training? I have been training on obstacles for 1 year.
Why obstacle training? I like to see progress in my training. With obstacle training, I am constantly challenged with new and creative ways to display my strength and hard work. And it’s fun.
Why compete? Motivation? As I said in the last question, obstacles are one way to measure my training and competition is another. Obstacles to me are very symbolic. Through hard work, consistency, and focus, you can overcome any obstacle and I try to carry these values into my lifestyle outside of obstacle training. So competition shows me what else I need to work on and motivates me to stay in line with those values.
Favorite obstacle? Least favorite obstacle? My favorite would be either the salmon ladder, ring toss or devil steps. My least favorite would be anything with rock climbing holds.
Personal interests (movies, hobbies, music, books, charities, etc.)? I love movies, comic books, and movies based on comic books 🙂
Something interesting about you? I am obsessed with becoming a real life superhero.
Motto or how you live your life?
“Be A Stronger Human!”
Piece of advice for obstacle course training? Conditioning, conditioning, conditioning.
